Fleet management module boosts Convey’s compliance platform

Amidst the national driver shortage, pandemic-related restrictions and Brexit, Convey Technology have continued to develop their compliance platform to support operators during these crises.

With the recent addition of their Fleet Management module, Convey customers are now able to manage their entire fleet maintenance by utilising intelligent scheduling and electronic document storage. Safety inspections, MOTs, tachograph calibration and vehicle maintenance is all recorded within the platform. Automated reminders can be set up, which ensures key dates are never missed again.

 

Karen Crispe, Commercial Director explains that “for many of our customers who already take advantage of our Tachograph, Performance and Walkaround modules this is the missing piece to the puzzle. They now have a full driver & vehicle compliance system available to them from one supplier, and more importantly, on one platform.”

This development is the company’s latest addition to it’s comprehensive and modular platform. Operators can manage licence checking, walkaround checks, driver performance, training, tachograph compliance and vehicle tracking using a single log in and a single database.

 

Recognising the pressures on operators, Karen explains that “as well as the ongoing driver & skills shortage, the next biggest challenge that we see is the struggle with over complicated technology. Too many systems with too much admin is a real burden on many operators. In fact, we often see situations where there is so much data coming from a range of sources, that the operator begins to lack confidence in the information presented altogether.”

Historically, there’s been a need to have separate systems in place to capture the information needed to run a safe and compliant fleet, but software has evolved and there are now options to streamline and simplify systems and processes.

Karen says “we’ve developed our software platforms from the ground up to provide our users with accessible and modular solutions, which enable them to build a complete, consistent, and accurate record of data on all of their vehicles and drivers at the click of a button. We have developed a solid platform from which we support organisations to monitor, share and report on vital business data – including drivers’ hours, driver performance, vehicle defects, maintenance and driver licence profiles.”

Addressing the challenges raised by operators around the lack of clarity and understanding surrounding Earned Recognition (ER), Convey Technology is now a accredited partner for ER, supporting operators and their efforts to gain ER status.  One of only a few providers who can offer both.

Explaining the process, Owner and Founder Steve Fisher says that “when signed up to the scheme, KPI data is submitted according to DVSA requirements, via our web and app platforms. The requirement to continuously monitor compliance is handled by our software and once an operator is enrolled in the scheme, the required KPI data automatically sent to the DVSA.”
